Ciabatta Bread With Hummus

Tonight we were not that hungry-we had a meeting and tomorrow have a funeral to attend.  Mamie made some ciabatta bread and Poppy made some hummus and together they enjoyed it with a nice glass of red wine. The bread is wonderful with a fresh, light texture...

The hummus was a combination of  Garbanzo beans, tahini, olive oil, garlic, salt, cumin and cayenne pepper.

The wine was one Poppy chose as it was on sale at World Market.  It is First Press 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.  We opened it before our meeting to allow it to breathe, and it was a nice addition to our garlicy hummus and chewy bread.  Just enough.

The rest is history...Have a good night. From Sweet Pickles Farm.
